Safety is our #1 priority!

Facility management and lifeguard service is our specialty. The safety of your facility is our top priority and we strive to make time spent at your pool as safe and enjoyable as possible by providing thoroughly trained lifeguards at every pool we service. Together, we will build a comprehensive facilities management program that's tailored to meet your needs. Our detailed four-step management process includes, but is not limited to the following:

Pre-Season Preparation
We create individual contracts that are tailored to meet your specific needs. We design comprehensive account profiles that meet your goals and expectations. Following site evaluations, our prompt reports give you time to review and respond. We target an on-time, safe opening and a hassle free, pleasurable summer. In addition, we file all necessary permits for State and Local health inspection jurisdictions.

Staffing and Training
Pool Managers and lifeguards are interviewed and screened by our professional staffers. Our multi-level regional staff assures proper placement, keeping your account profile in mind. American Pool Enterprises, Inc. has earned the esteemed American Red Cross National Provider Agreement. Our Lifeguard training program has been recognized as one of the best in the country and we have the ability to train guards within the United States as well as internationally.

Safety of those at your facility is our main concern and our training reflects our "Safety First" philosophy. We train our employees and lifeguards in a number of different American Red Cross courses including: CPR, Lifeguarding, First Aid and Pool Operator. We consistently test our lifeguards through self-auditing and examiners outside of our program. By evaluating each site, we can assure that our team is maintaining your swimming pool safely and to the highest standards.

By implementing our Lifeguard Training Directive Program, Lifeguard Audit Program and our Lifeguard Training, we are meeting all current safety demands.

Lifeguard Training Directive Program:

This program offers in-depth training that includes:

10 Commandments of American Pool Enterprises, Inc lifeguards
Providing a safe swimming pool environment
Customer Service - Understanding and meeting expectations
  Dealing with peer pressure
  Conflict resolution
  Support system
  Health Department rules and regulations
Daily/Weekly Maintenance with emphasis on a clean environment
Hazardous materials handling and environmental issues
General repairs and care of equipment

Lifeguard Audit Program:

The purpose of the Lifeguard Audit Program is to maintain and evaluate the skills of our lifeguards. The Lifeguard Safety Auditor will make unannounced site visits to evaluate the lifeguard's skills and perform safety checks of the facility. The lifeguards will be monitored and tested on injury prevention skills, patron surveillance skills, rescue skills, respiratory and cardiac emergency skills, and first aid skill. These evaluations ensure that each guard has proper certifications with them at the facility and that each guard is properly trained and can react calmly and confidently in an emergency situation. This process includes:

Adult/Child/Infant Rescue Breathing and CPR Skills
  In-Water Rescue Skills
1st Aid Skills including but not limited to: Seizures, internal/external bleeding, nose bleeds, heat related emergencies, insect stings and shock
Adult/Child/Infant Conscious & Unconscious Choking Skills
  Submerged Victim Rescue Skills
Watching for Surveillance Skills-effective scanning techniques
  Inline-stabilization techniques

American Pool Enterprises, Inc is constantly preparing and challenging our guards to be able to respond to any incident or emergency at your facility.

Supervision
In season, our Supervisors, Assistant Regional Managers and Regional Managers are continuously conducting site visits at your swimming pool, evaluating overall safety readiness skills and general pool operation. Because we have a low ratio of pools to supervisors, this allows the quality time needed to maintain a well-managed operation. General operational reports and safety audit reports are prepared and sent for your review. We are implementing the use of PDA devices to send you information electronically. Our proactive approach includes attending all scheduled pool or board meetings. Should you experience a problem, our customer service coordinator responds and follows up on your concerns. We're available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Post-Season Preparation
With our Winter Star Program, we provide scheduled visits to your facility throughout the off-season. We provide written documentation for services provided at your site. Our program ensures that your facility is prepared for the harsh elements winter can bring and we prepare you for a hassle free opening next season.
